Getting to Taormina & Where to Stay

A Guide to getting there, where to stay and what to see.

Located in Sicily and settled on a hill of the Monte Tauro and overlooking the ocean, Taormina has been nicknamed the Pearl of the Ionian Sea.  Taormina dominates two grand, sweeping bays below and on the southern side, the top of Mount Etna, the European highest active volcano, often capped with snow, offering to the visitors a breathtaking, dramatic and memorable view over almost one hundred miles of Mediterranean sea.

Fly into Catania (CTA), the closest airport to Taormina. From there, the town is approximately a one-hour drive along the coast. Private transfers and taxis are readily available.

If you are staying at the Four Seasons, you can contact the Concierge via email at Concierge.Taormina@Fourseasons.com to assist with your transfer. Alternatively, you can also contact Sebastian Car Transport via email at Sicilywithsebastian@gmail.com.
